Influence of blade deflections on wind turbine noise directivity

چکیده
Abstract This paper establishes the effect of blade deflections on wind turbine noise directivity. Fast turn-around methods are used in a framework integrated aeroelastic and aeroacoustic simulations: element momentum theory is coupled with RANS-informed Amiet’s model for modelling trailing- leading-edge noise. approach applied to NREL 5 MW results rigid flexible blades compared. The overall sound pressure level computed increases up 13 dBA listeners close rotor plane. attributed flapwise angular deflection blade.
